FITNESS PROGRAMMING AND CLASSES

The backbone of the company health and wellness schedule is the fitness program. This is an integral part of the company’s plan to reduce costs associated with employee absenteeism, turnover and injury claims while increasing morale, productivity and retention.

The program basics outlined are derived from workplace health statistics, current fitness trends and years of experience in providing effective programming. These programs would cover the technical ''individual needs'' of the employee and specific group requirements.

GROUP EXERCISE PROGRAMS

A good selection and diversity of group exercise classes is critical for contributing to the success of a corporate fitness facility. A hands-on fitness programmer coordinating a wide variety of programs will have a significant impact on the utilization of the fitness facility. Some of Curtis’ current facilities are only 1,500 sq. feet (with 600-700 sq. ft. of this a wood sprung floor), but the facilities offer between 12-20 well-attended fitness classes per week!

GENERAL TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT ORIENTATIONS

As a leader in personal training management, Curtis has developed a team with strong programming skills and training expertise. Curtis staff undergoes regular professional development sessions focussing on new techniques, education and active rehabilitation. The information and techniques gathered from these sessions are utilized to develop safe, effective programs and workplace health awareness.





SPECIALTY PROGRAMS

Specialty programs may be introduced for short periods of time (usually 4-8 weeks in duration) and may be suited to seasonal trends, specific target groups or be sport specific.
